Team Lead Strategic Procurement

Your activities

  • Leadership of an existing team of 5 FTEs
  • Partner with business teams to align on procurement strategy
  • Set direction for strategic category management and implement short- and long-term goals
  • Ensure procurement initiatives align with company goals and values
  • Lead innovation and transformation initiatives
  • Develop and manage KPIs to support company goals and values
  • Establish and maintain a preferred supplier pool
  • Oversee supplier performance management
  • Lead procurement projects in designated categories
  • Maintain effective relationships with key strategic suppliers
  • Mentor and train Category Managers and Purchasing Administrators
  • Drive change management
  • Collaborate with Head of Global Procurement to hire and develop employees for the Category Management team

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Global Procurement, ideally in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Expert-level knowledge of procurement principles and processes
  • Strong experience with e-procurement and e-sourcing tools, as well as ERP processes
  • Strong business partnering capabilities and mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management and change management
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to inspire, motivate, and influence others towards a common goal is essential

Your benefits

  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, or a similar field
  • Key-user-experience in procurement using S4HANA
  • Proven experience in implementing supplier catalogues and EDI
  • Significant experience with e-procurement and e-sourcing tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Extensive experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams
